Mailbox Love

A few years ago I received an email that read something like this: “I am so sorry. You’re request to review my book fell through the cracks and I’m just now getting it mailed!”  Within  a few days the promised book arrived and I sat down to peruse it.

I could not put it down. I read it cover to cover in a matter  of hours. I gushed over it to anyone who would listen. I blathered on about it on my blog.

Kathi Lipp’s books are full of practical wisdom, helpful tidbits and a whole lot of humor. Kathi is as real an author as I think I have read. In reading her books you can’t help but know she is only passing on what she has learned. To date I have read all of her books except her two most recent ones. But that will soon change as I received one of those in the mail.

That is her newest offering. And the one I can see myself stretching out on the couch this afternoon reading.

A few weeks ago to promote her new book, Kathi offered a challenge on her blog to clean out your purse on May 15. Since I’ve never been one to back down from a real challenge. It is especially true if there is the promise of a possible prize. And double if the prize has something to do with books and bags.

I’m all about the books and the bags.

Today I watched my mailman drop two packages on the porch floor and said with a grin, “Someone got two books in the mail.” Only it wasn’t two books. Oh no. I hit the jackpot.

Who could ask for more???

That, my friend, is what I like to call, “Love in my mailbox”. Thanks, Kathi!
