My name is not Murphy.

You know you want one!

But I’m sure Mr. Murphy resides in my house or at least on my block, who knows? He might even live in my town. This is rather a Murphy’s afternoon.

I’m venturing out on a new adventure; I’m both out of my head excited and scared to death. I love new adventures, and this is not any different, but really it can be quite scary.

What’s my new adventure? I’m going to start selling 31 Gifts. There now you know. I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the company and their bags. I also really love the easy-peasy-nice-and-squeezy-ness of their organizational systems. If you know me at all, you know I greatly struggle to be organized. It’s just not easy for me. Maybe it’s not easy for anyone, I honestly don’t know. I do know I am a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants-type of girl.

Plus I’m girl and I am madly in love with bags. Bags of all kinds, shapes, sizes, colors, styles. You name it, if they make it in a bag, I’m sold.

But in signing up today, I ran into a slight glitch. But no real worries, I sorted it out. The hardest thing is I have to wait until tomorrow to finalize everything. Which really just gives me more and more time to worry and fret about it. Instead though I’ll Philippians 4:6-7 it:

Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

(If you’re looking for a 31 Gifts link, you’ll have to wait until tomorrow.)

This morning I sent my Beanie downstairs to bring up a package of frozen chicken breast, and she happily complied. When she came back up, put the meat in the sink, and said, “There! I think I brought up the right thing.” I asked her if the package was long and thin, she assured me it wasn’t. The long thin packages, wrapped in foil, in the freezer are roasts, and I did not want one of those.

Our vbs starts tonight, and I need to be at church around twenty minutes before 6 for registration. No problem. We’ll eat at 5, clean up, and be on our way.

That’s not going to happen. You see, Beanie made an honest mistake by bringing up a roast, and not chicken. So I was quickly trying to thaw out the frozen chicken breast, and they just wouldn’t comply. Sigh.   I ended up thawing them as much as I possibly could, put them in the pan with the peas and potatoes, seasoned the whole thing, covered with foil around 20 after 4.

The only issue with that? I need to leave here around 25 after 5, and supper cooks for an hour.

Is it Monday by chance?

  1. What a day! I hope the rest of the week has been better. 😉

Our horse Murphy is named after Murphy’s Law, you know… He’s kind of a walking accident waiting to happen.

  2. Thanks for visiting my blog! I originally started this blog to share some of the fabulous recipes I’ve come across over the years. But, as I dabble in other things, I decided to include everything creative or “Simply Made” on the blog. For those of you who know me, you know I love to bake, cook, and do anything creative and crafty. I love making others feel special by adding small, personal touches to everything I do. I live my life by three words: LIVE, LOVE, and LAUGH. So, here’s to living life to it’s fullest, with lots of love, and laughter.
