God, Me and Sweet Iced Tea by Rose Chandler Johnson {A Review}

Rose Chandler Johnson has written a delightful devotional, God, Me and Sweet Iced Tea, Experiencing God in the Midst of Everyday Moments. When it’s hot nothing quite satisfies like a good, cold cup of sweet iced tea. At least if you’re fond of sweet iced tea, and if you’re from the southern part of the United States.

Nothing quite satisfies that thirst on a hot summer’s day. But what if your soul is thirsty for some living water? What do you do then?

Well, when that happens you pick up this enjoyable book, grab your sweet tea (or if you’re anything like me, you’ll choose to make your’s iced coffee) and spend some wondrous moments with your God.

Each devotional can be read in just a few moments. It’s perfect if you’re a Momma of young children and only have a few stolen moments in the bathroom, or during nap times.  It great if you’re a busy carpooling Momma who gets to wait in long lines at the grocery store, Target, waiting for a train, or in the carpool line.

Each devotional includes some suggested Scripture verses that pertain to the devotion, a journaling prompt, a prayer, a key thought and a prayer focus point.  They are Biblically-sound, full of truth without being harsh. The book is written with great grace and understanding.

This book is PERFECT for Mother’s Day!  I give this book 5 out of 5 turning pages.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and Litfuse for the purpose of review. All opinions are my own.
